What NibVoice does with your voice and text

When you dictate, the recording is sent to our servers and forwarded to a speech-recognition provider. When you use Read aloud, Edit or Translate, the selected text is sent the same way. Processing takes seconds, and the audio and text are discarded as soon as the result is returned. We do not store recordings, transcripts, or selected text.

Recordings are kept on your Mac, in the app's History, so you can resend one if something went wrong. You can delete them there at any time.

What we do store

• Your account: email address, name and profile picture from Google Sign-In.
• Usage metering: how many seconds of audio, characters or tokens each request used, and when. Not the content.
• Device records: a name for each Mac you signed in on, its macOS and app version, so you can sign them out.
• Billing status from Paddle (plan, renewal date). Paddle handles payment details; we never see your card.
• Product analytics: which features are used and where people get stuck, tied to your account. No content.
• Marketing attribution: if you arrived from an ad, the campaign that brought you.

Third parties

• AI providers (via OpenRouter): receive audio and text transiently to produce the result.
• Paddle: merchant of record for payments, invoices and tax.
• Google: sign-in.
• Hetzner (Germany): hosts our servers and app downloads. Cloudflare: network edge.
• Meta: if you came from an ad, we report the conversion so we know the ad worked.

Your rights

You can export or delete your account from the account page or by emailing [email protected]. Deletion removes everything above within 30 days, except invoices we are legally required to keep.
